ABOUT

The Programme is designed & organized by me, René Siebum. I have my own Design & Production Studio specialized in refined woodwork for over 15 years. Over this time I have built a small but steady company in which I bring creativity and pragmatic thinking together. This was formed by a combination of studies in Business Engineering, a Philosphy Minor and the Design Academy Eindhoven. Below you can find more about my background.

Over the years I had a lot of coffee’s with starting creatives who were searching in their company model and asked me for advice about the next steps. After teaching for some years I therefore felt confident to offer a more deveIoped programme.

I do not consider myself a business coach, as I want to have one leg on the practical daily ground. I do think that together we can find a way that brings new insights in becoming a creative, self-reliant entrepeneur.

BACKGROUND

In 2004, I obtained my Business School diploma as a Business Engineer from the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. At the same time, my fascination with design and art grew, areas in which I wanted to explore and develop myself. After five intensive and transformative years, I graduated in 2009 from the Design Academy Eindhoven in the Man & Well-Being program. My background in woodworking gave me the opportunity to become an independent entrepreneur. I was able to combine my studies and professional knowledge in my Design & Production Studio. Since 2010, Concept, Design & Craftsmanship have come together there with Entrepreneurship aimed at independent and sustainable growth.

In 2015, I was asked to become a Guest Lecturer, and there I discovered a love for a profession that was not yet my own.
Teaching became a permanent part of my professional life over the following 10 years. In the Pedagogical & Didactical Programme (PDG) I followed for a year, I was able to delve into professional lesson design combined with pedagogical and didactic skills.
